Bonding train body panels to the steel frame

Formoa 069LT and Formoa 760 are EN 45545 approved for rail.

Elastic adhesive bonding of body panels onto a steel frame, with products from App and our partner Forgeway.

1. Prepare the frame: Formoa products: clean, dry and free of dust and grease, then Formoa surface activator. Sappolo Bond 7937: isopropanol clean only.
2. Apply the bead: adhesive beads on the back of the panel or on the glass ceramic band, never on the frame.
3. Place the panel: press the panel or glass onto the bare steel frame.
4. Front windscreen: glass with fused black ceramic band bonded to the cab frame.
5. Side glass: side windows with fused black ceramic band bonded to the body frame, both sides.
6. Floor bonding: floor panels bonded to the floor structure with Pyrok flooring adhesives.
7. Built for vibration: the bonded panels stay flexible in a vibrating construction.
